Here's my procedure: 1) Clean completely, screw, sight & hole in front of slide, I prefer to use acetone, as it leaves no residue. 2) Install sight, with screw snug, but not fully tight, to permit moving the sight to square it. If you end up using red I would recommend using a heat gun to free them prior to trying to loosen them. even with blue lock-tight i have begun to twist the torx bit before they loosened up.

Properly torque the fasteners to the manufacturer’s spec AND add a little blue Loctite to every fastener. The stuff will actually protect the threads from corrosion but will hold the fastener even if the self-locking nuts you re-used (I assume you didn’t buy all-new nuts and bolts) aren’t quite up to snuff.
